Hoban finds another winner with Atlas
On the mark at Tipperary on Thursday aboard State Of Dreams, young Westport, County Mayo rider Conor Hoban again showed himself in the right light when getting Atlas Peak (10s this morning into 13/2) home the winner of the bookings@ dundalkstadium.com Handicap.
The course and distance winner, brushed the already beaten Headache when delivering his challenge but he then went on to beat Footprint by two and a half lengths. A steward's enquiry saw fifth placed Bramante disqualified as the rider Ray Dawson failed to weigh in.
The Coleman Country Syndicate own the victorious six-year-old and half of that grouping are from Navan and the other half from the west.
Successful trainer John Carr said: "He loves it around here. Seven furlongs is his trip but he should get a mile. He has to have fast ground or the all-weather.
"He might go for a hurdle next and he'll keep going over the summer."
Meanwhile Hoban remarked: "He did it well and kept going."
