Hatton Cross gained a fourth career success, and a first in almost three years when landing the Eurona BriskNet Handicap (div 2) at Roscommon today, scoring for trainer Thomond O'Mara and jockey Wayne Lordan.
Jockey Lordan steered the nine year old gelding to his last three wins, the latest being at Dundalk in October 2015 and today the pair got the better of Massa Lubrense by half a length.
“That's great - he's tough and the ground made a difference,” said O'Mara.
“He ran well up the Curragh the last day and wasn't beaten all that far over six. He's come back to form so it's great.
“We'll look for more of the same now and might look at Killarney or somewhere. Once the ground stays soft we'll keep going.”
