Halford on weather watch for Orcia

Mick Halford does not want to see much more rain ahead of Orcia s run in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Cairn Rouge Stakes at Killarney on Monday evening.
The filly has been running well of late and was only beaten a length at Leopardstown last time out by Dermot Weld's Foxtrot Charlie.
Back in against her own sex she has plenty in her favour, including a good draw in a big field, but Halford is concerned about the weather.
"She's very consistent and remains in good heart," he said.
"Everything looks to be in her favour, I just wouldn't want to see much more rain.
"The trip should suit and she's got a good draw in stall one, which is very important around there.
"She's one of the highest rated so she should go well."
The highest-rated filly is David Wachman's Assume but the County Tipperary handler has been struggling this season and has had just the one success.
Aidan O'Brien 's Earring Dermot Weld's Emergent and Andrew Slattery's Creggs Pipes are among the other leading contenders.
