From the first time Shattered Dream initially appeared in public, in point-to-points, around this time last year, one envisaged that he'd enjoy his best days over the larger obstacles. The chestnut son of Flemensfirth made a successful start over fences in the Sean Graham Bookmakers Beginners Chase at Down Royal under
Davy Condon.
With the morning favourite, Chasing Shadows a non-runner, Royal Sam assumed that mantle but there was money for Shattered Dream too – 13/2 into 5s on track.
