Globalized justified favouritism when making all in the concluding three-mile maiden hurdle at Tipperary.
The field was greatly reduced, like a lot of the hurdle races on the card, due to the drying good to firm ground with just 12 facing the starter.
That number was quickly reduced as 9/2 second favourite Kilnockin Lady was pulled up before the first flight with a slipped saddle.
Mick Darcy made all on the lightly-raced evens favourite, and the eight-year-old gelding had plenty in hand in the straight cruising home to beat Lisclogher Lad by a facile eight lengths. Rube Burrow was a further half-length back in third.
Winning trainer Dessie Hughes said, “He eventually got one! He’s after having a leg a couple of times. He’ll be let off now, and will go chasing. That will be his job.”
