On The Fringe showed his class as he ran out an easy winner of the Dan Linehan's Bar And B&B Hunters Chase.

The market suggested this would be a walk in the park for the nine-year-old son of Exit To Nowhere (returned a 1/4 chance), and so it proved to be.

He took up the running just before the first under Nina Carberry, and he stretched clear on the approaching to two out, going on to score without coming off the bridle, by fifteen lengths. Annacarton (33/1), for Jane and Jimmy Mangan, won the battle for second, while Sebadee (6/1) was a further short head back in third under Johnny Barry for Denis Cullen.

Frank Berry, racing manager for winning owner JP McManus, said afterwards: "He jumped away well and kept it simple.

"We will see but there is a possibility that he might run in the Galway Plate, but only if its not a dry Galway."
