Forjoethepainter routed his 12 rivals with an authoritative display in Roscommon's two and a half mile handicap hurdle.
The 14/1 shot swept past Bawnmore Lass on the run to the third last. he jumped that flight and readily asserted before two out.
He drew further and further clear from the last and Mikey Fogarty could afford to ease him down to score by six and a half lengths. Think Of Me (10/1) in second was three parts of a length in front of Shrewdoperator (16/1).
"He did it well. He’s a different horse fresh and ran well first time last year when fourth at Fairyhouse,” handler Anthony Mulholland said.
“He was in good form at home and I was expecting him to run a good race.
“He’d probably be better off going to another yard and getting freshened up again. I don’t know if he’d be able to do that again for me.
“I'll probably sell him to England and he’d be a fun horse for someone.”
Forjoethepainter was coming off a break from March.
