Far Away gains elusive chase win

The Paul Nolan trained Far Away So Close made it fifth time lucky over fences when winning the Glenview Stud Beginners Chase at Limerick today.
Rated 130 over fences prior to today, the winner, ridden by Mikey Doran, eventually ran out the three and three parts of a length winner over Spot Fine
Afterwards Nolan stated “ Far Away So Close is at pretty much the same mark over hurdles as his chase mark and hopefully he can prove competitive from a light weight in a handicap chase at some stages. However I'd hope the handicapper would drop him for his win today as he has beaten horses which shouldn't have finished as close to him and he has also taken a long time to win his beginners' chase.
“He should be a bit better on better ground but is an exposed horse. He's won four races for me and is placed most days he runs, so I wouldn't mind having a few more like him all the same!”
