Course specialist Atlas Peak landed his fifth course win at Dundalk tonight when narrowly winning the www.thetote.com Handicap for trainer John Carr and jockey Conor Hoban.
The son of Namid got made most and narrowly held the challenge of Fellisha at the line for a fifth win at the venue (all under Hoban) and a sixth career success.
Afterwards Carr said “he seems to be better here than anywhere else. He's only rated 80 over hurdles if we ever get firm ground! He'll probably get two miles over hurdles better now as he is older.
“He has been running very well and there's a race back here in a fortnight's time. I was worried when he jumped in front as the plan was to hold him up in fourth or fifth and come with a run. He settled in front though and Conor said he was very happy on him turning in and thought he'd win.”
