There was an impressive Irish debut from expensive French recruit Solage (9/4 favourite) in the Follow @BetVictorRacing On Twitter Fillies Maiden at Gowran.
A 1,000,000 Euros buy after a narrow Longchamp defeat at two when with Nicolas Clement, Solage now represents Ballylinch Stud and Jim Bolger.
Despite being a little keen early on under Kevin Manning, the successful daughter of Galileo ended up slamming Maria Christina and Basrah Breeze by four and a quarter lengths and two and a quarter lengths.
“She could be a very nice prospect. She was a brave buy but she's worth it now anyway,” said Bolger.
“We'll look at a stakes race for her now. She has the lot and I wouldn't think a mile-and-a-half would be a problem for her but I wouldn't rule out dropping her back in trip either.
“She's probably versatile ground-wise as she's a very good moving filly.”
