The Bill Farrell trained Man Of Erin followed up his recent winning gamble at Naas when defying a 13lbs rise to win the La Bucca Restaurants Handicap at Fairyhouse today
Backed on-course at Naas previously from 12/1 into 9/2, Man Of Erin was today partnered by Johnny Murtagh and posted a half a length success over Moscow Treat ridden by Marc Monaghan, who had partnered Man Of Erin to land the gamble in the Apprentice Handicap at Naas previously.
After today's win, trainer Farrell stated “we'll see what the handicapper does to Man Of Erin now. He didn't learn much the last day and ran away but he settled in much better today.
“He is potentially a nice horse and we'll put him in a 0-80 handicap next.”
