Hammerstein strode right away from his rivals in the Brennan's Pharmacy INH Flat Race to give Gordon Elliott a Tramore double.
The four-year-old gelding cruised in for Jamie Codd by an impressive 14 lengths at 7/2. Chasing Abbey (3/1) won the race for second by a length and a quarter from Mid Day Gun (6/1).
Hammerstein kicked clear under three furlongs out and put the race to bed in the final quarter of a mile.
Gordon Elliott, who was at Dundalk, said: "He's a grand honest horse and did it well. He will go jumping now.
"It's great for Jim and Noeleen Power who are from Tramore."
Jamie Codd added: "That was super. He had snippets of form there once he got off the winter ground.
"Tramore is probably ideal for him as he is a nice sharp horse. I'd say when he jumps a hurdle now he'll really fly as well.
"It's great for Jim who owns him, he is a local man (from Dunmore East)."
Earlier on the card, Global Jackpot justified 11-10 favouritism for Elliott and Barry Geraghty in the Flynn Hotel Group Maiden Hurdle.
