John Egan's effort to get down to eight stone four to ride Juara in the concluding Fund Raising Made Easy At Dundalk Handicap was rewarded with a short head win over Carried
Market principals Timjoe and Carried looked like they'd be difficult to depose at the head of affairs but Juara was always in the chasing pack too.
The Iffraaj filly, a Roscommon scorer back in the summer, launched her bid a furlong out and she got up to lead on the line with front-runner Timjoe finding no extra and dropping a length and a half off them in third.
Anthony Mullholland handles Juara for the Glenanaar Syndicate and it was left to Egan to report here: "I felt the horse had a good chance and it was well worth getting down to do the weight.
"There is a friend of mine in the syndicate and I'm delighted to win for them."
