Drive can't master Word
Turtle Island may be seen as predominately a soft ground sire but following the win of Turtle Gale yesterday, another of his sons, Quiet Word showed that fast ground was no barrier to success by capturing the www.tramore-racecourse.com (C & G) Maiden Hurdle.
This fellow hurdled well under Bryan Cooper and he proved three parts of a length superior to the frustrating favourite, Drive On Regardles
Winning trainer, Dessie Hughes commented: "He jumped great and the weight allowance helped. He wants the quick ground and there may be another race in him before he gets his break."
