Joe Doyle conjured up a finish from Mulzamm to land division two of the Caulfield Industrial Handicap in Galway.
The pair only had four rivals behind them at the two pole, however, they began to make headway racing to the final furlong.
The eight-year-old gelding then came between horses and once in the clear ran on strongly in the final 100 yards to get up close home.
The winner was a 7/1 chance. Runner-up Loaded went off at 12/1 and he was half a length ahead of Dancing Doll (14/1).
Trainer Denis Hogan said: Joe was spectacular on him and I’d have him on any horse.
“He deserves more outside rides — he has a serious pair of hands and a great judgement of pace.
“He can do a light weight too and is just top-class.
“He’s not the easiest that horse, but Joe was confident beforehand about him.
“We’ve hit the crossbar an awful lot lately and it’s great to get one in.”
Doyle has been on board for Mulzamm's three Irish victories.
