Ballydoyle colt Double Agent dug deep to land the spoils in the mile-six maiden at Navan.

Wayne Lordan bounced out in front on the Aidan O'Brien-trained son of Galileo and asked him for an effort passing the three pole.

He was almost joined by Sanctity Of Space two furlongs out as Galway Plate winner Pinkerton also came to challenge.

Double Agent started to get on top inside the final furlong and then held the late charge of 25/1 shot If You Let Me to record a half-length win.

Stable representative Chris Armstrong said: "He had a very good run two runs ago here. In Thurles it is just a bit of a tighter track and he was always on the turn and that is what caught him out.

"I thought today's track, trip, ground, everything would suit him lovely.

"Wayne gave him a very positive ride, set a lovely even tempo and just kept building it up halfway down the back.

"In fairness to the horse, he is tough. Once he got into the dip, and they came to him when he met the rising ground, he hit top gear and Wayne was very strong on him.

"He's a horse that stays very well and Wayne said he couldn't get him pulled up once he passed the line. He kept finding for pressure."
