- Dock strikes again
Dock strikes again
Copper Dock is something of a standing dish at the track and gained his second win of the season at Dundalk in the six-furlong handicap.
Produced by Ben Curtis to lead a furlong from home the gelding kept on well in the closing stages to see off the challenge of Tellelle by half a length.
"He's good around here. Things went right for him and he got the split at the right time," said trainer Tom McCourt.
"A few of my horses were very flat during the summer and he just wasn't firing. But he loves it around here.
"Ben is great value for his 5lb and rides him with confidence which is what you have to do with him. He's earned his break now."
