Dick Naylor Aintree bound following Clonmel win
Banbridge trainer Jerry Cosgrave recorded a win with Dick Naylor at Clonmel today, winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle, under Andrew McNamara.
A course bumper winner, Dick Naylor raced prominently, led from six out before staying on well in the straight for a comfortable seven lengths win.
Afterwards Cosgrave's representative and Cheltenham winning jockey Mark O'Hare, who handled and rode the gelding in his point to point days, stated "Dick Naylor did that very well."
He added "he probably isn't good enough to go to Cheltenham but may go to Aintree for a three mile novice hurdle. He'll go chasing next year."
