There was some respite for favourite backers in the second race at Tramore today as 13/8 favourite Billybuster made all for a ten length win in the Like Tramore On Facebook Handicap Hurdle.
The opening contest saw the favourite Wilde Sapphire left hopelessly at the start but half an hour later Billybuster, under Andrew McNamara, made all for their easy win over Famous Ballerina
The win was crediting William Delahunty with his first career and the Mullinavat, Co Kilkenny based restricted trainer later stated “I have my license about five years and have four horse at the moment.”
He added “he ran well at Gowran the last day and I knew he was in good form today. He's bred to jump, is a half brother to Monet's Garden and he'll jump a fence too. He's entered at Fairyhouse on Saturday but I doubt he'll go there.”
