Courageous Cochise
The Shane Broderick trained Cochise under Denis Hogan, ran out the game winner of the www.thurlesraces.ie Handicap Chase at Thurles today, for owner J.P. McManus.
The son of Flemensfirth raced in mid division, progressed to lead at the second last, before staying on well for an eight lengths win over Harbour View
Afterwards Frank Berry, racing manager to McManus, reported "I'm delighted for Shane (Broderick) and thats J.P.'s first winner with him. Cochise jumps great, handled the ground well and will go for another handicap chase next."
