Cian Horgan hopped from a first to a second win with consecutive rides a fortnight apart today, landing Dundalk's Book Online At DundalkStadium.com Handicap on the Andy Slattery trained Dare To Flare
The 18 year old bagged his first win on Joseph O'Brien's First Blood at the Louth venue 14 days ago and on his next ride today, steered Dare To Flare to a three parts of a length win over Clueless Hill
Slattery's brother and assistant Brian Slattery later commented “we're delighted. He's very consistent and all the lads have ridden winners on him, Andrew (Slattery junior), Ben and Jake (the Coen brothers) and now Cian so it's brilliant.
“We found that they were going a bit too slow for him in the 1m4f races, inevitably he misses the break everyday and they went hard today and the race suited him - he needs a strong pace.
“Cian gave him a lovely ride, that's only his ninth ride and that was a very good ride.”
