The Aidan Kennedy trained Character Actor gained a fourth career win in the Guinness Veterans Handicap Chase at Limerick today, scoring under Andrew McNamara.
The ten year old jumped the final fence faster than runner-up The Book Thief and that helped him maintain a narrow lead to the line, eventually holding on for a neck win.
Afterwards Kennedy stated "that's great, he's always been a horse that has been there or thereabouts but has had plenty niggly problems."
"There's a new veterans' programme for him and it is great for this type of horse as it gives you something to aim towards. He was actually very well in today, having finished second off a rating of 129 in the past."
