Caso Do Lago claimed his second win at Dundalk in a fortnight when landing the www.dundalkstadium.com Nursery Handicap at the Co Louth venue for trainer Eddie Lynam and jockey Niall McCullagh.
Connections, wisely as it turns out, bypassed Caso Do Lago's entry at Goffs Sales yesterday evening and Lynam later stated “there was a small entry at the five day stage and we said we'd take our chance at the five furlongs.
“It probably wasn't the strongest race in the world but it was nice to get it.”
The winner carries the colours of well known bookmakers' representative Justin Carty, now with Ladbrokes.
