Casey takes last at Leopardstown
The concluding race on this evening’s card, the Silverpark Handicap was won in style by the Peter Casey trained My Blue Heaven in the hands of Chris Hayes.
Hayes who carried the familiar colours of Basil Brindley hit the front two furlongs from home and soon sprinted clear to record a three and a half length win.
Winning trainer Casey said afterwards: “I had a doubt whether or not he’d get the two miles. We’ll keep him going on this trip now.”
“Leopardstown is a lucky spot for me.”
