Carberry doubles-up with Roberta
Lady Roberta made it fifth time lucky for Gordon Elliott when the Thurles bumper winner (trained then by Tom Foley) came home best in the Goresbridge Maiden Hurdle to complete a double for her rider Paul Carberry (half an hour previous he was successful on Jim Bowie .
There were at least four of this twenty strong field in with a chance going to the last but the daughter of Bob Back found most when it was needed to go away and beat Playboy Luke by three lengths with a short head back to Fennis Boy
Elliott, trainer of yesterday's Triumph Hurdle fourth, Carlito Brigante, said: "He is a different class (Carberry) when you can get him. The mare deserved that."
