Blinkers just the job for Commandment
Commandment bounced back to form when making most of the running to claim the two-mile maiden hurdle at Thurles.
Philip Enright found a willing partner in the closing stages as the six-year-old galloped on strongly to post a length-and-a-quarter success over Fairwood Massini
The winner had been well-beaten at Cork last Sunday and trainer Robert Tyner believes the application of blinkers brought about the improved showing.
"That's probably it for the season. I think the blinkers did the trick," said Tyner as he led the winner around afterwards.
"If he hadn't run on Sunday I wouldn't have put blinkers on him. Philip gave him a great ride."
