Last year’s Investec Derby winning rider Padraig Beggy enjoyed a welcome success when partnering Most Gifted to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race at Naas.
Aidan O’Brien supplied two of the three runners in this six-furlong event, and punters were unable to separate them as both were sent off the evens joint favourites. Full Moon set the pace under Emmet McNamara but stable-companion Most Gifted was travelling ominously well when challenging over a furlong out.
The War Front filly asserted inside the final furlong for a comfortable length and a quarter victory, with Gasta all of eight lengths further adrift in third.
Beggy, recording his second winner of the campaign, said “She’s done it well. Emmet’s is a fair horse and I followed him along comfortably. We kept quickening up and I finished off best.”
