- Bankster another for Big Bad Bob
Bankster another for Big Bad Bob
Banksters Bonus (20/1) began his career in the style of a smart performer by landing the Doorstep Distributors Supporting Special Olympics Ireland European Breeders Fund Maiden at the Curragh.
Billy Lee rode the son of Big Bad Bob for Jessica Harrington and his owner breeders Anamoine Limited. Lee of course was fresh from his listed success on Katla at York yesterday and here he got Banksters Bonus home by a head from Apache (denying Ballydoyle a 4-timer and Joseph O'Brien a double).
Mrs Harrington said: "He is another Big Bad Bob and I'd suppose he was a hundred to one was he? The sire is absolutely incredible he really is.
"This fellow had done a couple of bits in the spring and recently and he is quite big. I'm delighted with him, he stayed on great. Typical of his sire he didn't stop and was really tough.
"He looks like he could be up to Listed class after that."
