Ballyadam Brook completes hat-trick
Ballyadam Brook #8217;s amazing progression continued at Galway today, when the Terence O’Brien trained gelding completed a hat-trick of consecutive wins in the Tote Placepot Races 1 To 6 Novice Hurdle, under Paul Townend.
The son of Alderbrook was prominent throughout behind leader Regal D’Estruval, led from two out and stayed on well for a three and a half lengths win over Final Day
Afterwards Carrigtwohill, Co Cork based O’Brien stated “we started the year hoping Ballyadam Brook would win a handicap from a rating of 85 or 90 and while he has obviously improved a lot, I never expected him to improve this much. He had an operation on his nostrils and it has proven a great success.”
He added “he didn’t jump with much fluency today again, but is much better over fences. We may run him in a novice hurdle at Listowel in September and then give him a break before maybe going chasing around Christmas time.”
