- Bahama best for Bell
Bahama best for Bell
Bahama Spirit produced a fine front-running performance to run out a cosy winner of the two-year-old maiden at Fairyhouse.
Samantha Bell soon had the daughter of Invincible Spirit in the lead and she always had too much in hand for her rivals.
The Kevin Prendergast-trained filly kicked clear of the field down the straight under 'hands and heels' persuasion and was easing down close home to record a three-parts-of-a-length victory. Captain Cullen came home with a flourish to win a bunch finish for second.
"She jumped from the stalls well and was always in command," said Bell afterwards.
"She had a lot in hand and loved the ground. That's my fourth winner and I'm getting plenty of rides from Mr Prendergast. I've been with him for two-and-a-half years now."
