Elusive Award emerged on top after a three-way battle in the Dining Special at Dundalk Stadium Race.

Kevin Manning produced the colt inside the final furlong and he prevailed by a head from Miracle Match with Velvet Flicker the same distance back in third.

"He wants good ground and I brought him here as I thought it was the ideal race to educate him further. Kevin felt he learned a lot from it," said Andrew Oliver.

"The plan remains the same - to go for the Beresford Stakes, providing the ground is good, and then the Racing Post Trophy."
