Allegra foils gamble
A huge plunge on Naked Cowboy in the Siteservlc Supporting Aware Handicap at Naas this evening failed to materialise, with the gamble eventually finishing a well held second to the Harry Rogers trained Allegra Tak
The Tony Mullins trained Naked Cowboy, available at 20/1 (16/1 generally) in the morning and 8/1 on course, was returned the 5/2 favourite but never looked like winning, staying on for a never dangerous second to the comfortable winner.
Afterwards Rogers stated “Allegra Tak had a good run under Shane Foley at Limerick the last day and while it is hard luck, on Shane today, Pat (Smullen) rides for me when he can.”
“Allegra Tak was entitled to be thereabouts at the head of it today and also won her maiden here.”
