Donnacha O'Brien matched his sister Ana by riding a winner on this eight race programme at Dundalk, also donning the colours of their mother Annmarie, when getting Udogo home in the finale.
From early in the day Udogo (returned a 9/2 chance from around 7s when markets began on the contest) was popular in the betting for this Irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap. Bishan Bedi was the earlier Aidan O'Brien-trained scorer and though Donnacha was a little more forward in the run on Udogo the result was ultimately the same.
Udogo got to the front-running Sharjah a furlong out before going on for a two and a half length win.
K.J. Manning, rider of Heavy Weight (well-backed favourite, finished 5th) trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with trouble turning into the straight.
