Jessamine has gone close more than once in the past and the door opened on the eleventh attempt for the Mastercraftsman filly when she proved successful in the concluding [email protected] Handicap.
Leigh Roche brought Pat Flynn's 5/1 shot (from 13/2) with her winning run down the outer and she eventually got home by three parts of a length and a neck from Lunada and Milford Lass
"That's great. I thought Twistsandturns (2nd in the 7.00, and a half-brother to Jessamine) would do it earlier for the owner. We were hoping the two of them would do it and at least we got one," said Flynn.
"I'm glad she won it as she has a nice pedigree. Her mother (Shesthebiscuit) won six for us.
"She seems to like that surface and we'll keep her on the go here."
