The Stewards interviewed G.N. Fox, rider of A Place Apart, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that G.N. Fox was in breach of Regulation 10. 3(c) in that he had used his whip unnecessarily after clearly obtaining his maximum placing. Having taken his record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned G.N. Fox on this occasion

S.A. Shortall, rider of Commandant trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly three out

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Commandant, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A novice hurdle race for four yrs old and upwards which at entry are rated 99 or less over hurdles, also open to horses rated 100-109
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 9lb; 5-y-o and up 10st 12lb
Penalties - Performances before 26th November for every 1lb above the rating of 99 1lb extra; On or after 26th November for each hurdle race won 4lb extra; Note Horses that have not run three times over hurdles and/or do not have a published handicap hurdle rating may enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their performances are rated 109 or less.
Riders - Confined to riders who have not ridden more than 10 winners under any National Hunt Rules between 1st January, 2018 and 27th November 2018 inclusive.
