Fiery Lad followed up his success over course and distance here last month and looks an improver.

He again put Fascinating Paddy (second last time) in his place and with that rival 5lb better and also taking into account the fact that the winner was ridden by a 7lb claimer last time he seems to have stepped up again on that effort.

Johnny Murtagh's charge came with a swooping run to lead at the furlong pole and he stayed on strongly to put the race to bed in good style.

Dirtybirdie, held up, worked her way into fifth a furlong out and kept on well in the closing stages while Magic Cloud also came from the back to make up some ground in the final furlong.

Quitit was withdrawn due to a stone bruise.
