Quotes on Colonel Mustard (FR)
We knew before the race we'd have to make the running and I wasn't really worried about that but it is a relief more than anything. There was so much expectation riding on him to nail the maiden and get it done and he has. It will give him huge confidence and I think we now have a good bar from what he did last season. I hope we have a lot to look forward to now and I'd like to take him to Cheltenham in three weeks for the Supreme Novices Trial because I think it'll be good to get there and see how he travels. He is in a really good place, I have a bit to work on with him as I didn't have him 100%, because it is a long season. I am very relieved he won today.

Quotes on Solness (FR)
He jumped well, travelled well the whole way and when the other horse (The Banger Doyle) came to him, he toughed it out. This trip seems ideal,. He is a classy horse on his day and Oakley's 5lb off was a big help, as his claim is very valuable. Oakley is on the Hill (at Owning) five days a week so it is nice to get him a winner as he deserves it.

Quotes on Kings Hill (IRE)
It didn't look the strongest race but that is always the worst race to watch! Off his Leopardstown run you'd have to say he'd win,. I have him entered up plenty since Leopardstown but was just waiting for nice ground and today's wasn't his ideal ground. He is a lovely honest horse and this is grand to get out of the way. Of course we would love to go to Cheltenham and the Supreme Novices is a month today, although today's performance wasn't good enough to win a Supreme. I wouldn't chance running him before it though. Tony Costello (consignor) mentioned him to me in Doncaster and in fairness to Paul Lyons, living in London, and Tom Quinn they bought him between them.
