Velocity battles to game success
Miss Velocity proved game in front as she claimed the Crowne Plaza Handicap at Dundalk.
Kevin Manning always had his mount to the fore and beat off all comers, eventually getting home by a head from Sassaway
"She deserves that. She's a model of consistency and is as tough as anything," said winning trainer Andrew Oliver.
"She loves racing and if she saw the lorry in the yard she would nearly jump in and drive it herself!
"She'll keep at it. She'll have the pot licked tonight and be bouncing again tomorrow.
"There is a handicap for her at the Curragh next week but it's older age and that's harder to do.
"Kevin gave her a brilliant ride from the front. She won't let anything past if it's at all possible."
