Sir Harry Cash placed numerous times in 26 previous starts, finally came good when landing some nice bets in the two-mile handicap hurdle at Limerick.

Eric McNamara’s charge and Makethedifference drew clear of the pack early in the straight, and a mistake by the latter two out left the blinkered eight-year-old with a definite advantage.

Shane Shortall’s mount settled the issue by throwing a fine leap at the final flight, and the well-backed 8/1 chance (from 11’s) kept on well to score by four lengths.

The 5/1 favourite Rafi de Triana was six lengths further adrift in third, with Luke’s Benefit completing the placings in fourth.

McNamara said, “He’s been very consistent and deserves his day. He’s very straight forward and easy to ride but Shane gave him a super ride the last day and, even though plenty of lads were looking for the ride today, I decided to stick with him.

“He’s a super jumper and hopefully the handicapper won’t be too hard on him.”
