With the defection of Tahaany (in-season), the opener at Dundalk, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Race, turned into a match with Majestic Queen overturning the favourite Adelana

The Tracey Collins trained victor opened on-course at 6/4, but all the money came for her rival (2/5 to 4/11), and she drifted out to 2/1 at the off.

The four-year-old daughter of Kheleyf, who was making her seasonal reappearance here, was settled in second and she was pushed along entering the straight.

She then got a lovely run through on the inside, and hit the front under two furlongs out, staying on well from there to score comfortably by a length and a half under Joseph O’Brien.

Adelana, who was also having her first run of the season, for Mick Halford and Shane Foley was in receipt of a stone from the winner on account of her being a three-year-old.

Tracey Collins said afterwards: "I’m absolutely delighted with that. I think she’ll come on from it.

"It was a two horse race and it was a bit of cat and mouse, but it was a good ride from Joseph. They are two top class jockeys so I wouldn’t expecting anything less.

"She has strengthened up from last season and has grown half a hand. I will possibly bring her back on Guineas day for a fillies Listed race.

"The owner Thomas Rogers is from Westmeath and he also owns a filly coming into training with us."

The winner, who cost €18,000 as a yearling at Goffs, is a half-sister to Stars So Bright who won on her debut over the course and distance recently for John Oxx.
