The Paddy’s Super Enhancements Maiden Hurdle (Div I) went to Patience Patience (7/2) who was always prominent under Conor Orr and asserted from the second last to beat the 13/8 favourite Barney Stinson by three and a half lengths. Appian Way (12/1) was a further six lengths back in third.

The winning Zoffany gelding had made some late headway into sixth on his only previous outing at Punchestown last New Year’s Eve.

It was a 13th winner of the campaign (for 11 different trainers) for 5lb claimer Orr.

The winner is trained, under a restricted licence, in Skryne, Co.Meath by Jessica Magnier who said: "That's the first winner in my name and we had many in Colin's (husband and owner) name; I have the licence in my name two years.

"He did it well and he is a beautiful horse and we always knew he had it but he is well named - Patience Patience.

"He'll win more hurdles before going chasing - he'll win lots of races."
