Oxx on mark at Tramore once again
Dimona justified her short price when running out a convincing winner of the Fillies Maiden at Tramore.
John Oxx has a terrific record at the Waterford track and the daughter of Alhaarth powered clear in the closing stages to give the Currabeg handler another success, scoring at 4/9.
Ben Curtis asked his mount for an effort coming down the hill and she swept to the front turning for home.
The result never looked in doubt from there as she pulled clear for a five-and-a-half length success over Mojita
"She won that nicely and will go for a suitable fillies handicap next," said Oxx by phone.
Jeff Houlihan, Oxx's travelling head lad, had also commented:- "She didn't mind the ground and trip."
