Obligada gets job done in Limerick opener
Obligada justified good support when getting home in a bunch finish to the opening median auction maiden at Limerick.
Chris Hayes produced the 5/2 favourite (from 5/1) to lead inside the final furlong but she was all out close home. Gatamalata finished to good effect, after having a troubled run, just failing by a head to peg back the winner. Light Footsteps didn't enjoy the clearest of passages either, staying on into third, three-parts behind.
Winning trainer Kevin Prendergast was absent.
