Meade wins opener at Punchestown
The opening race this afternoon at Punchestown, The Tote Sports Lounge Novice Hurdle was won by the Noel Meade trained Fisher Bridge ridden by Paul Carberry for owners the P.R Syndicate.
Winning trainer Meade said afterwards, "That possibly wasn't the strongest of Novice Hurdles but we thought he'd go on the ground. He's a stronger horse this year and he jumps well. We'll go for the For Auction Race at Navan with him next."
