Lethimfly completed a short priced double for Noel Meade and Colin Keane, as he comfortably accounted for his 10 rivals in the Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden.

Progressing with each run, the Ribchester colt filled the runner-up spot at Fairyhouse on his most recent start and was widely expected to go a place better this evening.

Sent off the 10/11 favourite, the Harcourt Racing Syndicate-owned chestnut made all and travelled best from the two furlong pole.

Shaken-up inside the final furlong, he readily increased his advantage and came home two-and-a-half lengths to the good.

The Diego Dias-trained Sharkii (10/3) filled the runner-up spot under Gavin Ryan, while Smoke Them Out (18/1 from 50s early) was another four-lengths away in third.

The winner was bought for E26,000 at the Tattersalls September Yearling Sale.

"Colin jumped down off him the other day and said 'he's quick', so he was keen to ride him," Meade, who took the opener with Sugar Club revealed.

"He's progressing and even there he was hitting the ridges, but still won well.

"A stakes horse came out of the race he was sixth in at Navan, and stakes horses in the race he was fourth in at Cork.

"He's a good horse."
