Eoin Doyle completed a 31/1 across the card and codes double, as his St Lawrence Gap took the Spirit Group Apprentice Handicap.
Doyle was earlier on the mark at Down Royal when his Fiesole won a handicap hurdle, his second victory from his last three starts.
St Lawrence Gap is also a dual winner over flights, and he was sent off a 7/1 this evening after going down by just a head to the smart Rashaan on his most recent outing at Clonmel.
Settled in mid-division by Ross Coakley, the son of Tagula had plenty to do from the two furlong pole. He was soon ridden and he got a nice run through from over a furlong out, staying on best to score by half a length. Ligeti finished second under Ana O'Brien for her father Aidan at 6/1, while Bottleofsmoke (14/1) was a neck back in third with Killian Hennessy in the saddle for Gavin Cromwell. Alcander was sent off the well-supported 10/3 favourite (from 6s last night and from 4s on-course), but he could only manage a disappointing ninth under Robbie Downey.
Eoin Doyle said afterwards: "He was unlucky the last day, and the track really suited him today. He really got into his stride in the straight.
"He's a dual purpose horse and I'm delighted for the syndicate to come up here to Leopardstown and win a nice race. They are all from around my area, and really enjoy it.
"Hopefully he will have that ground now for the summer, and he could win a nice race over hurdles."
Ross Coakley added: "He was never really travelling but when he got the gaps he picked up well."
