Trainer Donal Kinsella registered his second winner in two days when his King Of Oriel came out best in a blanket finish to the Promote Your Business At Fairyhouse In 2015 Apprentice Handicap at Fairyhouse today.
Ridden by Ian Queally, the son of Kheleyf finished strongly inside the final furlong to force a photo-finish with both Flowing Air House Limit and Clifton Mist (fourth). The judge did later call King Of Oriel the nose winner, with a short head and a neck to the place horses.
Queally is now based at Ballydoyle with Aidan O'Brien and was riding his sixth career winner and afterwards Kinsella, whose Ducky Mallon won at Gowran yesterday, stated "I must admit I thought he was beaten but I thought he got a lovely ride - Ian did exactly what we asked."
He added "the horse didn't do anything wonderful and credit must got to the jockey.
"We asked him to drop out and not show him until three furlongs out. He didn't really make any decent ground until the last furlong."
