Hanginthebalance scores for Deegan/Hayes

Paul Deegan’s Hanginthebalance made a winning handicap debut when battling well to win the Rooftop Restaurant At Gowran Park Nursery at Gowran today.

Ridden by Chris Hayes, the son of Compton Place made the running, and although he was headed two furlongs out, battled well to regain the lead inside the final furlong, eventually recording a half length win over Praise Be

Afterwards Deegan stated “today’s track suited Hanginthebalance much more than Galway the last day as he ‘fell’ down the hill. He is a lovely, big and long striding horse and we will either go for something similar next or leave him off until next season.”
