Soon after saddling a one two in the feature at Down Royal, Tom Taaffe was on the mark at Limerick with Gold Bullet under Andrew Lynch in the Tote Jackpot (C & G) Maiden Hurdle.
This fellow prevailed easily at odds of 8/13, beating Not For You by nine lengths.
Tom Taaffe said: "I like him. He's a very athletic and agile horse. Ideally he wants good or yielding ground but I ran him because he was the best horse in the race and thought he might get away with it.
"He jumps great - I won't aim him at anything exotic though. He'll run again in five or six weeks time. Then I'll put him away before going chasing next season.
"He has a gorgeous staying pedigree."
Meanwhile on his Down Royal one, two, Taaffe commented: "Treacle and Ninetieth Minute are both Aintree bound. Ninetieth Minute needs about twenty horses to come out though.
"Treacle was hob-dayed last October and I thought he'd hate the heavy ground. He's guaranteed a run now and he won't get a penalty for winning this." (TW & EM)
