He has the odds-on favourite for the bumper at Aintree tonight, Vinnie My Boy (won at 2s on), and a daughter of the great Vinnie Roe got the Grange Stud resident off to the best possible start at Clonmel this evening as Dreaming On stylishly landed the Cluain Meala Maiden Hurdle.
Much like her sire, Dreaming On has a seriously good attitude and after a really creditable second over the course and distance 15 days ago, Mikey Butler went out and made all on the very easy to back 10/1 shot. She had the well-supported favourite Sir Harry Cash (11/4 this morning into 13/8) in trouble from before the straight and the successful five-year-old chestnut galloped on relentlessly to triumph by eleven lengths.
Ray Cody, owns and bred Dreaming On and he also acts as travelling head lad to the winning trainer Eoin Doyle, he said: "Eoin is at a wedding today.
"I still have the dam (Pidgeon Bay) at home. On this one's last run she had a good chance. We were a bit afraid of the ground but she's very genuine and she stays well.
"It's great to get the win – she was actually impressive too."
Dreaming On is a half-sister to the likes of Carr Hall and High Calibre – multiple winners.
